>>105704316 (OP)So far it's the only distro that just works. Every other one shits the bed during installation, updates, or normal usage. An OS that requires me to follow news, do manual interventions under the hood, or debug shit I didn't write is not an OS but a timesink hobby project. I want to use my pc and software, not spend my time fixing poorly written, configured, migrated, or timed shit somebody else did. Just Werk or gtfo.
Kubuntu broke itself by updating from a vanilla install with a dozen errors including nonsense like "wrong" software sources being configured (meaning by their own fucking installer). Opensuse failed to install the network manager it shills, still couldn't connect to wifi when I used NetworkManager, started giving me random error popups in the background about kwallet, and didn't let me change locale to an entry in its own dropdown. Manjaro expects you to follow arch news for breaking changes to fix them instead of the fix just being fucking automated and shipped like in any normal software project.
So far fedora has given me none of that "works on my machine, if I publish shit packages then it's up to the user to fix my bad work and start digging into the letter soup internals of a system they didn't build" crap. So far.
It's 2025 and the linux UX is still more a bad dev project than a productive system that just works for you.
