>fixes your OS hopping permanently

This is literally the best linux distro to date
>clean and minimal non buggy desktop environment
>not much bloat, just what you need
>modernized aptkit with just works debian base and no ubuntu base, just pure debian
>GUI app store with the best universal package manager, flatpaks for those modern and niche apps like discord

If these guys didn't exist, Linux would just be dead.
They have made home computing easy and accessible on linux with all the features of windows with no spyware.

There's things you cant get on debian like the software manager, updater, screenshot utility that lets you rename after you take it, file renamer, usb burner/formatter, mint themes etc and all this functionality is already designed to work on LMDE flawlessly.

Debian as a desktop OS used to be alright, but then they started including bloated and insane software in their defaults instead of just shipping vanilla like arch does. Tell me why dont they just ship the latest cinnamon in their repo's like 6.0 with just file roller, gnome calculator and maybe feh and mpv as the defaults as the system utiliei. Why does there need to be a bunch of useless shit they throw in.

Debian is the base of ubuntu so it makes it just a fork of debian, just like ubuntu is. Debian is the best linux base currently, pair it with a GUI appstore and flatpaks its good for 99% of normies that use discord or roblox(both on flatpak).

Oh and linux mint even went as far to modernize APT for the future with aptkit that is maintained where as debian relies on old outdated unmaintained shit for the backend of APT.

Such as?
>Tell me why dont they just ship the latest cinnamon in their repo's like 6.0
Because that's not how Stable works. But Trixie has 6.4.10.
>with just file roller, gnome calculator and maybe feh and mpv as the defaults
>Why does there need to be a bunch of useless shit they throw in
Because Debian is a general purpose OS, not your personal custom distro. But literally all those titles are in Debian repos.
>pair it with a GUI appstore and flatpaks
Again, gnome-software. And following instructions on Flathub is extremely straightforward: copy-paste 3 commands and reboot.

If you want cinnamon so bad you can install it on debian, you know? This "install a distro to switch DEs" business I've always found retarded, like all those *buntu variants.

What's the point? You're getting Cinnamon with a Debian base either way. Is bragging about manually setting it up that important?

You'll install debian properly and maybe learn how to install different DEs if you want to do it in the future, instead of going on thinking it's some kind of big deal, like you.

Linux Mint backports most of their latest changes/bugfixes to LMDE through their repo, so is worth if you specifically want to use Cinnamon.

This is never going to happen as long as troonix can't even run entertainment programs.
>umm why do you even need video games?
The average computer user isn't going to be PROUD that their PC CAN'T run certain programs (besides old viruses or some shit)
