it looks a lot better imo. that transparency on the old Invites icon looks like shit and the grid on TestFlight and Developer is just distracting and messy. The nametag for developer is unclear as to what it actually does to. At least for the new one i can tell that it has to do with apps

At least with Android it's much easier to change things if you don't like them. I'm not sure about how easy it is to customize anything on modern iPhones, I don't think I've heard anyone say "jailbreak" out loud in about a decade now.

my phone is on ios 7.1, and I hate it, apple has throttled the phone to shit, it used to last 10 days on stand by, now it does not even last a fucking day, it keeps searching for service until it runs out of energy lol.
gotta keep it on plane mode and remove it when making calls lol.
