Europoor here - why is it that in Euro tech companies, the upper management seems to consist solely of super-fake normies and suits, literally what gets you into upper management is that you look good, dress good, and are good at spouting meaningless platitudes. There are some super rare people, who can pass as normies, and can code as well, but they are literally the exception. The company culture tends to suck as well.
Meanwhile top-tier US companies I have had contact with are full of autists of 2 types. OG autists who look like shit and don't give a norms, and join meetings in faded Evangelion t-shirts, and Bateman types (who are I think are also called tech-bros), who were OG autists but decided to ChadMaxx and supercharged their autism with amphetamines, TRT and alpha male routines, but you can tell they also have zero social skills and are crazy intense, but can get into tech stuff really deeply. You can also tell they are not normies by the way they can't hold conversation about non-autism topics and aren't naturally weirded out by the former type of autist (in fact they don't really seem to mind them).

After arguing with clueless Swedes who know fuck all about tech in general and their product in particular, and whose personalities consist of playing squash, it was so fucking weird to talk to some senior Amazon manager guy (who I suspect has an eight figure net worth) who literally had holes in his sthirt, and whose room looked like Asmongold-lite, but could hold a solid conversation about kernel level linux profiling.

(I think the US culture is better)

Meritocracy. Cracy concept. It’s disappearing in the US too anyways.

It is the social and workforce protection system, which is being exploited actively. Yurope has great legislations on protection of employees, employees rights, and all that kind of things. Over time people just figured-out the game and are simply fucking around all day long while nobody is allowed to ask them what is it they are doing. They only work during probation periods, and later they can fuck around 24/7 and do whatever. Because they can be fired only for very severe and very specific reasons. So being completely incompetent and having zero on what the fuck it is you are doing - this is being tolerated in yurope.
In burgerland it is a whole different story. If you don't do you're job - you will just be fired for not doing the job.

Im a barely functioning sperg, I was khhv until 29, the only reason my bloodline didn't end with me is that some of my friends got me flaming drunk and high as a kite and locked me in a room with a woman, who I somehow managed to fuck, date and marry, and even I thought these guys are too much.

the usa tech sector is a bubble to scam investors, using the money that usa gets bc the dolar is the world money, not so much anymore and that is why the tech sector is as it is
other countries have "sane" tech sectors, and that includes the same parasitic business, mba, and consultant guys as higher ups, like any other sector
but in the end actually working tech companies in the usa have the same crap, bc you are comparing small startups with traditional companies, you can also find those in the eu, just less bc again the eu actually needs to finance them

The euro tech sector on the other hand is literal old money boomers doing nothing, or scamming companies by making the EU parliament make up shitty regulations and red tape, and having boomer CEO 1 selling regulatory compliance software to boomer CEO 2, with the actual software being shit, and not even complying with said retarded regulations, the only thing that matters is the regulators are paid off.

There's a reason why the biggest euro software company is SAP, a dogshit garbage guantanamo torture tier software, who nobody in their right mind would use, if those pesky regulators didn't force them to.

software has just started to be regulated in the EU, it couldnt be even regulated before the 2023 product regulation, as the previous definition of product didnt cover software, and the actual software directives are not done yet, you guys repeat fud, mix needing to follow business and privacy regulations with the software part
SAP and other erps are really really useful for business, to the point SAP is more important than fucking alphabet or the other faang in the big scheme of the world economy

Bullshit, we literally discussed yesterday that we should move our docs out of Sharepoint and Word because frankly fuck those pieces of garbage into a wiki, but were told by compliance that we need those 2 pieces of software in order to comply with some godforsaken ISO document standard, which we need if we want to sell our software.
Fuck the EU and fuck these fucking parasite bureaucrats.
We're quite literally forced to use Azure, AD and Sharepoint because that's the easiest way to comply with some shitty regulations and get some crappy certs we need to stamp on our product.
Of course nobody actually understands what the regulations are exaclty, (not the people whose job is literally compliance), all they tell us is to use Microsoft shit to be compliant.
Microsoft understands its audience, and I wouldn't be surprised to find if they actively lobbied for this kind of obtuse regulatory shit, so they can lock you into their shitty platform.

That's not true at all, companies just have to prove that you're not doing your job and provide warnings, and a paper trail that those warnings were provided and that you didn't improve. It's like PIP in America, except it's not just a roundabout way of letting someone know they're gonna be fired soon.
On top of that, I've worked in American companies where female office workers will spend weeks, and I mean literally weeks, doing a single task that takes an hour, because all they do all fucking day long is gossip with the other office cunts and none of the managers actually expect the women in the office to do any actual work. That's for the men and Chinese woman only, apparently. You think labor protection laws are bad? American corporate structures that exist to protect the Elites at the top from ever facing consequences for the actions their companies take are the single biggest blight on humanity.

Because the autists move to America or Asia. If you're really good at tech why in the world would you work for a European company, under European regulations and (most importantly) with European pay?

This will sound incredibly /r9k/ but I really fucking hate West Euro management normies. They never had to do a day of honest work in their lives, and never will. The only thing they are genuinely good at is exploiting the system (of the company, and government). They literally contribute nothing, accept no blame, no responsibility but are fucking amazing at takign credit. Their only discernible output are huge self-congratulatory articles on the company Linkedin/internal news page and/or making powerpoint presentations out of the data I am forced to prepare for them.
They literally understand nothing, know nothing, being useless is their chosen strategy, so that you don't even go to them with any problem because all you'll get is blank stares.
They literally couldn't write one sentence about what the people under them actually do, and what issues do they have.
For example what did happen to me is I kept whining forever that the main db machine doesn't have enough storage, and that will literally cause outages once it fills up. Once it does, the guy literally copy pasted my email to him ccing in top management ordering me to fix it ASAP.

But other than these short moments breaking their idyllic existence, they don't fucking do anything, and they make a nice fat paycheck by Euro standards of like 80-90k euro.
