All software is open source. Not being able to reverse engineer and/or patch it to your liking is simply a skill issue. This has never been more true in the AI era. Complaining about it just makes you seem like picrel.

Sounds like a gigantic waste of time. Bro patching and compiling FOSS shit to deal with specific use cases is already enough of a hassle. I don't want to delve into a bunch of proprietary code to implement hacky solutions.

AI has nothing to do with being able to hack proprietary software.
Hacking proprietary software is like a kind of blackhat programming. You can do it but you'll end up with all kinds of issues.
It's actually just easier to make our own thing and put a license on it that cucks corpos.
