I prefer using my computer skills in business, such as Excel just and being fast at doing everything in general. Even if I haven't learned something, I learn very quickly when it comes to computers.

i hate networking and i say this as someone who actually received his ccna in 2014. sys admin is 80% windows shit and the 20% that is actually fun, linux machines end up being 95% networking crap. i hate windows. i want to work on linux machines but i honestly cannot stand networking shit. i hate my fucking life.

What career paths allow you to work on Linux-based machines?

networking. not joking. networking garbage. there is virtually no desktop linux in production environments. nearly all linux boxes are for networking shit. if you want to start a path in linux sys admin work, which is all networking, i always recommend people getting a ccent and linux+ certification to start off with. ccent pretty much has everything network+ has but you learn cisco stuff as well. from linux+, getting your rhce.

>CCENT
Cisco axed that back in 2020. CCT now is the best to start with or just go for the CCNA like you did.

i didn't realize they did. you're right, they retired it. pretty dumb as it was literately everything network+ is but basic cisco stuff. was a wonderful cert to start with.

Well, yeah. I like kids, but I wouldn't want to be a paediatric surgeon.
