we've entered a timeline where being a coder/programmer has more of a negative stigma than being a fast food worker
how did we end up here?

i dont care. i just walk into office, sit on comfy chair and try to unspaghetti the 6 years old code base inherited from 10 different precedestors. during day i get to talk to like two other people while sipping tea and then i go home. and the pay is good.

and even if i miss deadline nothing happens. they cannot even fire me, because there is nobody else who even knows what the project does, but customer really needs it. try doing any of this in mcjob with druggies and customer threatening to shoot you for delaying their burger.

Kek. This really is the best part isn't it? It's hilarious because the people responsible for enforcing deadlines on us have no idea how tf anything works so no matter what pressure they come at you with it's easy to have some jargon excuse they cannot possibly understand enough to push back on you. You could even just make shit up and they have no choice but to believe you. I don't do this, too risky, but lord have I thought of it when some uppity fag in a suit pisses me off.

Legit why is it that troons (no disrespect troon mods and jannies) persist SO heavily in the tech sphere, gaming, and almost any media nowadays if they supposedly only make up like 1-2% of the population?

1. it's less than 0.5%
2. what are (You) as a confused proto-tranny or tranny more likely to graviate towards: a past-time/hobby/career with lots of face-to-face, in-person socially terrifying situations like football player, businessperson, military, lawyer, etc... or where you can be literally anything you want and no one will be able to know any better or gainsay you?
Come on man use your brain.

yeah but like is that the only reason. Because if so, it makes sense why their sewerslide rates are so high, they're constantly in isolation because of how disgusting they are not only physically, but mentally, and socially. I knew that it's because they use fuckin VR chat and Vtuber models to feel "Better", but im trying to ask more questions to better understand why they do this, because it just seems like surface level stuff, I want to be apart of these spaces up until I actually SEE what these people are like, the way one looks is heavily correlated or the direct result of how they think, and the way they CHOOSE to live. And I don't want to hang around people that not only dislike themselves, don't take care of themselves, but physically mutilate themselves, it's not different than being budies with an alcoholic or junkie that never gets to the "acceptance" stage of rehabilitation, no they go in the complete opposite direction and say that they should continue to pursue a bad lifestyle because somehow it """"might"""" make themselves feel more comfortable, but like dude, IM not comfortable looking at you put dresses on and talk like a faggot. I've lost friends or left my old friends because they too easily accepted this horseshit so easily and it hasn't ever not creeped me out.

>wears a funny dorky white hat and has a bit of acne and a squeaky pubescent voice
>quickly takes your order and provides service with a smile
>helps feed people with delicious burgers at reasonable prices all day

"coder"
>is a jeet (ruining the world) or a reddit numale queer (also ruining the world)
>makes a webpage load 50MB of jeetscripts to display 4KB of text
>forces you to updoot your software constantly and then forces you to updoot your hardware because the updooted software (which has only gotten worse and lost useful features) no longer runs on the "old" hardware out of some combination of malice and incompetence
>is an annoying nerd faggot
>knows how to "code" but can't even actually administer a computer system properly anyway
>helps ruin the entire world and works towards the eventual death of humanity and every single good thing that ever existed in order to make money for a few billionaires (you know who they are)

>college
i am from youropoor, here we dont do that scam shit. we have
>elementary school
>highschool
>uni
and all of it is free. my highschool was technical lyceum and then few unis offered you enrolling without entrance exam if you came from lyceum so i went there. the course was called software engineering, which is the best option imho: it teaches everything from leading projects, coding low level shit like PLC to high levels shit like java ee.

in europe we still have heavy industry, and since ~2010 they are all trying to automate their stuff, that is from where the heavy demand for coders come. planning warehouses, mapping sales, SAP, ERP, MAS, maintenance, customer support, taxes, just in time... each manufacturing corporation has its own stack of technological nonsense and each needs its own unique solution. and unlike the typical web coder bullshit >>105740190 talks about, here the requirements for working software are absolute: if you fuck up programming the MES, the manufacturing stops and corp starts to lose millions for every day
of delay.

and if you fuck up low level programming PLC, the one of its kind assembly line bricks itself, possibly damaging itself and repair will last few months. so nobody is crazy enough to try hire pajeets.

i did not use any networking for this job. i just went to 15 interviews and on one of these they gave me test which i aced. thats all.

>get certs and do projects and grind
>2 years into college by now

>"hehe, I bet those cunts I knew back in high school that thought I was retarded will see me know and my big brain"

I admit I use AI to learn and help solve big hurdles, but I'm not a vibe coder and I have a strong fundamental understanding of the languages I use. But I feel like all the hard work of learning in the previous years and that I finally landed an internship and am about to finish school really does not matter a whole lot because everyone will just look at me and assume I prompt'd my way through everything.

By them being the most entitled, narcissistic, useless - and above all, brown - pieces of shit ever to exist.
These things used to only be associated with embedded devs - now even "vibe" coders think they're hot stuff because they can fizzbuzz in their IDE.
