i think the manoeuvre is to substitute thinking with procedure
thats the idea behind checklists in a plane

problem is, you do need to think in programming
but thats not what theyre solving for
big corpo wants to shove as many incompetents as possible into the field to suppress wages
and so we end up with tools that are bloated as fuck because every single thing has to have a prosneedure
