I don't care about arguments saying it doesn't matter, like "I wouldn't buy it if I had to pay for it, so they wouldn't make profits from me anyway". It's still unethical to steal something. You're still taking advantage of someone's work.
The same thing goes for making a copy from someone who paid for the work. Maybe your friend paid for a movie. It's ok to watch it with them, but not ok to make a copy of your own
