Something that always bothered me at a fundamental level, is when I watch those videos of some guy who has been a normal law abiding productive member of society, just one day picks up a child off the side of the road in his car in a neighbourhood and drives them home. No history of anything sus, no CP on his PC etc. Like if he's rational he knows he's gonna get caught, but just doesn't care anymore? There is an overwhelming desire or drive that cant be ignored any longer? Or I suppose irrational behavior if something just snaps or brakes. Like was he just hiding it all this time, or did something just break in his brain?

I read a book called the man who mistook his wife for a hat or something similar, all about neuorology issues and its utterly bizarre and wonder how much goes into cases like these.
