What's the verdict? Anyone bought it?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpUkYw4i6Kk
The older gens had the following problems:
>outdated specs
>bad cameras
>clunky design
>weak battery
It looks like an actual phone now and the processor is decent.
They claim massive improvements on the battery but I'm wary of their claims. Have the mastered the replaceable battery tech?

this will never gain mainstream adoption despite millions of devices losing support for OTA updates every year. People just don't care as long as they can use their apps.

well youve said it yourself. The specs are lackluster, and it is overpriced. you could get a much beefier phone at this price point but if you absolutely insist, go for it.

It's shit. Still has outdated specs, bad cameras, clunky design and a weak battery because "muh modular", it's overpriced because "muh EU", and they clearly don't give a fuck about "muh sustainability" because they dropped the headphone jack with the previous gen.

If they made it a bit more expensive and prettier I could see girls wanting to buy it because it signals not only that they're richer (like with the iPhone) but also that they're morally superior.
For a guy to turn up with a "fairphone" is kinda gay though isn't it?
>>105744819
at European universities they do a lot. The phone is pretty much the only "guilty pleasure" type product where they can't signal environment friendlyness yet

all phones these days will end up as e waste. Electronics nowadays are not build to last for a lifetime. You could opt for a cheaper alternative with similar specs and safe the rest for your next phone

have you ever seen food videos on YT shot in europe? the the price to portion ratio is just absurd. They expect you to eat a single hotdog on the streets with no sides or condiments for the price of what normally would be complete meal. Im not surprised that the phone costs as much as it does. This is what happens in countries that require their people to give more than half their salary to the government.

Can someone explain why fairphone isn't compatible with GrapheneOS?
Why does it work with /e/os but not Graphene?

I would seriously consider buying one
