>>105750299 (OP) The phone itself is fine (I have a similar Motorola phone) but you should put LineageOS on it. It would run heaps faster without the bloat on the stock Motorola Android, and you get Android 15. https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/caprip/variant1/
>>105750299 (OP) hah lol i had a moto stylus 5g from 2021 for like a few years. it was such a piece of shit but i didnt have a job. when I got one i switched to a the samsung flip 6. Never looked back.
>>105750322 Okay, this is a good suggestion. I will try it tomorrow.

>>105750322 NTA My Moto doesn't have any custom ROMs sadly, I'm not getting another new smartphone again, Android 9 is trash and everything after (tried on others phones) is even worse. Not to mention the shitty hardware ofc.
>>105750299 (OP) When this current cellphone breaks I'm not getting another phone. No phone. You don't need one.

>>105750299 (OP) My phone is from 2018 or something. I was thinking whether I should finally upgrade as well but there's just no reason to. I does all the shit I need it to do just fine, even the OLED screen isn't burned in since it only gets like 30-45 minutes of screen use per day. Battery is still alright for similar reasons and hasn't been raped with fast charging. I feel like it might be time to upgrade but I feel like if I pulled the trigger I wouldn't notice any difference with a new phone anyway. I don't use it for video games or whatever so improved performance doesn't really matter.

>>105750308 holy shit it's this schizo again, now even on phone threads >They're supposed to get hardware acceleration for AVIF ...avif will never be hardware accelerated on any hardware just like any image format before it, period, they're not supposed to get it, I encourage you to cite a source for that (you can't because you are imagining things).
>>105750299 (OP) >Give me one reason The Razr can fold and has a second screen on the other side and that's kind of cool.

>>105750776 It's a little confusing because some old android phones that got the android 14 OS as an update don't have this AVIF hardware decoder but I'm assuming it will just fallback to software decoding I think.
[5.1/H-1-17] MUST have at least 1 hardware image decoder supporting AVIF Baseline Profile.
