Why isnt anyone creating Digimon Go by creating an AR demo with map data? You could make one yourself on a afternoon with open street map and the basic AR SDK from any manufacturer.

Its been 9 years since Pokemon GO came out, 6
since Ghostbusters World, 5 since Harry Potter WU.

The source code is available online. Japanese copyright laws are useless in America.

If all that is true (and it isn't) why don't you go ahead and make it this very afternoon?
