Raising taxes on the wealthy leads to an indirect increase in the cost of consumption for all consumers and a loss in real earnings amongst employees. Rich people aren't retarded, they don't throw their hands into the air and say "well I guess I'll just earn less lol". They make everyone else pay for it because they need to maintain the lifestyle creep that they've experienced as their wealth as grown, in addition to accounting for the increased cost of business due to the other wealthy asset owners doing the same.
Raising estate taxes on the wealthy disproportionately benefits the large corporations that they own, because it harms smaller businesses and makes it difficult for them to increase their footprint in the marketplace over successive generations. This in-turn means that consumers and employees of smaller businesses are harmed in the process as the cost of doing business is passed onto them.
And as for Medicaid, getting health insurance in the United States is incredibly easy. With that being said, health insurance shouldn't be an investment nor should it be publicly traded. The answer however isn't free healthcare for poor people as it fails to encourage them to participate in the economy. The idea of Medicare for all might sound nice, but boils down to gibsmedats for inner-city negros.
If you disagree with any of these, take a look at the salaries and economies of the UK, France, and Spain and compare them to the United States. Even "productive" economies in Europe such as Germany are retardedly far behind in terms of wealth generation potential for the middle class.
