The fact that I still haven't optimized my feeds to suit my needs keeps me up at night. I still just use them to browse through political slop while taking a shit instead of doing it properly. And yes, I've got tech feeds as well, but they're whatever mainstream sites first popped into mind rather than after a thorough analysis of their usefulness and quality. Pic related, it's me, I know.

Also, have the obligatory standard wiki pages for RSS and tech news, I post them in RSS threads whenever I remember them:

The one I found myself saving articles from the most is How-To Geek. They do guides more than news, but many of the articles are well written.

The rest of them:
Slash Dot
Ars Technica
BleepingComputer
Tech Crunch

The only lesser known one I use is AlternativeTo.net. For now at least, I've got a ton bookmarked even beyond the Wiki pages posted above, but I've been too busy to check them out.

I can vouch for Feeder being the best Android solution. I'm not really sure about PC, I haven't done a proper comparison. I've been using Livemarks on Firefox, which just restores the old feed system that Firefox disabled. But it's a bit too minimalistic, I've been meaning to switch to Feedbro. There are other options that anons mentioned in threads like this, like Thunderbird (it has built-in RSS) or FreshRSS, but I haven't tried them.

I am wising there was a decent solution that would sync between android and linux. maybe like a self hosted one but I'm not really sure if that's overkill. I just don't like having to move files around to my phone manually
