I had a group project in CS with a tranny just like this. The tell is that they don't quite know how to present as a woman. The hair looks like a guy simply grew his hair longer, it isn't styled like women do. The clothing is always vaguely mannish, like a man looking for clothing that's still functional but looks "girly enough" (it isn't).
