Sites that do not officially have RSS support are most often a nightmare to work with. There are a ton of sites that claim to create custom feeds, but barely any of them work and most of them have paywalls. You'd think that it would be easier given the amount of scraping constantly going on these days.

There are use cases for it. Sometimes you need to keep an eye on certain sites and I don't want to use Telegram bots. RSS feeds would be ideal on the other hand.

RSS feeds simply periodically generate sets of predefined info dumps your RSS client then parses, whereas APIs are dynamic: you ask them for something and give you that thing
