I'll never understand how winfags tricked themselves into thinking 10 is actually a decent OS. There are so many downgrades from 7 it's insane. I'm guessing it's just what's most familiar to them, but going from 7 to 10 is actually a pretty traumatizing experience.

It's a coping mechanism. Windows 10 was the OS that introduced 90% of the shit people hate about Windows 11. People despised it at launch, but gradually the narrative shifted despite Microsoft only enshittening it further as the years passed. Launch Windows 10 was a lightweight, stripped-down OS compared to the bloated mess it is now, but people are dumb and have short memories, so "now" Windows 10 is good because it's the new baby duck version of choice.

I'm playing with so winxp thin client, has 1ghz single core amd and some flash drive. I'm shocked at how snappy and responsive it feels compared to win11 doing basic stuff.
