There has been multiple redesigns. The later ones were more subtle so nobody noticed. Also people stopped caring about reddit anymore by I digress. At some point one of the text editors was inserting line breaks for some reason. Long story short they've waffled so hard on development that content is fucked depending on when and where from the text was entered.
Codeblocks are also fucked. You can sometimes find comment sections where people are showing the OP how to properly format codeblocks. Yet it's not rendered properly when you're viewing it. That's because it's formatted for whatever fucked iteration of a janky redesign at the moment the OP wrote the post.
As for the retarded "reddit spacing" meme, I guess at some point some anons figured they could sniff out reddit users who were using whatever screwy iteration of the frontend.

Literally a bot farm. Was on a subreddit for severance and this account was there. The fact they're bother to bot popular subs that already have a positive fanbase means it's all gone to shit.

Definitely less relevant but still a huge site. The problem is that reddit and discord took over the role forums used to occupy, but many of the niche/hobby subreddits are very inactive.

Even something as mainstream as bodybuilding or lifting, subs with 1M+ subscribers, have only a few posts a day and limited discussion. It makes me think that a lot of the main activity on the site is somewhat fake. They make their money from advertising, so inflating figures, fabricating users and comments are clearly incentivized.

Aside from that the platform itself is not too impressive. The feature list is limited, they've gone through several mostly pointless redesigns and half-baked trendy additions. Uptime is ok

It is getting popular in a neighbor of a country where it is banned by most ISPs. Local bots do exist

I have literal autism, but I like to split large blocks of text onto a new line without putting it onto a new paragraph. Usually, what happens is that a space is created because an overhanging line from the first block doesn't reach the end of the row. You get some breathing room without wasting any vertical space or implying greater separation of the two paragraphs than necessary.

I actually started lurking there recently because when it comes to any sort of news 4chan is worthless. Too many chuds and chud bots. If we want to talk about irrelevance there's no site that fell from grace more than 4chan, it's just a shilling central for christcucks (Heritage Foundation) and assorted MAGA trash. I've been a regular here on the chinz since 2009, and Reddit was always frowned so much upon, and hated to death by the spergs.

Funnily enough, now I consider Reddit my true home, and I absolutely use it daily, both for personal stuff, but also for troubleshooting as part of my IT job.
The way that Reddit handles posts, is so insanely better than any sort of Forum or Imageboard I've ever seen.
The good replies are right there at the top, and each reply can be a thread of its own, to further dive in depth about the issue.

Reddit is goated, and the "just append reddit at the end of your search" meme, just goes to further prove this point.
My only regret, is that I fell for the 4chan memes back in the day, and didn't create my account sooner.
