Is there some logical implication that prevents us from building a flying saucer?

You can, but I can't promise it'll be aerodynamically stable or easily controllable, and it'll definitely have drag at most higher speeds.

No, they were quite literally built through the early to mid-20th century along with pulsejet turbines, and you mean an engineering rather than logical implication surely

More accurately the avrocar couldn't hover outside the ground effect envelope, flight was simply unstable but not prevented as claimed

Nigger, it literally does. It's literally confirmed that they're real and at minimum can do XYZ etc. We just don't know what they are/where they come from, or that knowledge is still protected, but either way we don't know. The most accepted theories is that it's a combination of different things, that they're not all just the one thing/one source.

>flying saucers were built and could hover a few feet off the ground

You could write there is no logical implication that prevents us from building a flying saucer, only a practical one given the documented cases available. Speculative engine technologies used in other craft obviously fall outside the bounds of implication, which is even true for detonation engine used in the Feitian-2 only a few days ago

Lack of skill and understand about how physics work.
It's a natural limitation. Just like an elephant will never be able to make something simple (like, idk, glass or plastic), we'll never be able to fabricate, or understand anti-gravity vehicles.

Just leave it for the aliens, which are hundreds of thousands of years more advanced to us anyway.

Kinda like, you're opinion.
For example, a saucer makes a terrible airplace, but maybe I want to make a coanda effect aircraft.
>Why?
Why not?
Then I'll use a saucer with a big round skirt.
Maybe I want to make a derigible that is easily maneuverable in all directions, fill the inside with helium make a big disk frame.

The problem with that system is that the fuel source is solid propellent, so a reactor would not work. Theoretically it can be scaled up and be remote opperated (the system started off bigger before being downsized) and with clever juggling have an extensed flight range, but still not a lot. It would have to be an interceptor only with no concern of it returning after interception

Scaler weapons were a required invention from the U.S after other county's started their own anti gravity flight vehicle programs. The U.S needed a way to stop enemy's using the same platform against them. A scaler weapon is designed to blind the field around the craft to prevent sight and position in 3D space resulting in the craft crashing. It's known in these programs that you don't fly these crafts in a traditionally manner you fly vertically then horizontal but always return and reset at a vertical point above the earth to prevent a crash or being disabled by your enemy. This is why crafts are often reported to go straight up and into space and vise versa from the sea etc.

You fell for the psi op no such thing as aliens just technology we build through experimental research and development and billions of dollars being "Lost" and allocated to black sites. Aliens are fantasy the cool shit we catch flying in the sky is just us doing badass engineering marvels with the assistance of greatest minds, funding and protection from the Department of energy of which has greater power then world leaders. You thought a single man that was previously an actor on tv is running the most powerful country in the world kek. Sorry you fell for the Hollywood project blue beam sci-fi scare meme bro it's just aliens aren't real.

Germans are the only ones who can build them. America could steal the technology but could never replicate it. "Their" stealth bombers were also build by germans.

There is no single clip or image that's going to convince anyone. Everyone can do their own research and cross-check the evidence if they want to draw some conclusion. I drew mine last year. Unlike many /g/ posters, I have no ego.

You are incapable of coming to terms that it's just us flying around with experimental toys. You want aliens to be real so bad that you will die to defend the idea. It's time to stop being a puppet slave to the psychological operations departments that obfuscate the truth and let go of your Hollywood programming and face reality. There are no aliens it's just us we passed the great filter by pure luck nothing is supposed get this far statistically due to dynamic theory. Now we are snow balling as a borg entity and have given birth to AI if we leave soon we will own the stars and choose our own destiny there doesn't need to be cross over between fiction for the future to be cool. If you can cross this hurdle of there not being aliens you will learn and understand the topic a lot better.

I am also open to this possibility, it's just that currently I think the most probable truth is that we are not alone here. It's not unrealistic at all to think that an advanced civilization would send unmanned self-replicating probes all over the galaxy, it's actually very logical and on a cosmic timescale it doesn't take long for these probes to spread everywhere.

Not really, but they're less stable and slower than conventionally-shaped aircraft.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Canada_VZ-9_Avrocar
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikorsky_Cypher
It's not even a problem of "omg the tech isnt there to stabilize it" -- they could be gotten stable; it's just not a very good design for most applications.

Open rotors like on a helicopter are lighter and easier to control and have some later-discovered features that make them superior to ducted fans in general use (autorotation mostly; when the helo is in motion the rotors even if unpowered provide enough lift to glide somewhat; a ducted fan blocks airflow so this doesnt happen and you need to rely on wings for lift)

for planes and other zoomy aircraft, it's easier to mount the fan/jet/prop/screw/etc in the direction of travel and use wings to keep it aloft. If it has to take off in a very short space, it's been found that it's easier to just tilt the whole goddamn propulsion system (like an F35, Harrier, or even the Osprey aka Marine Killer 9000)

And finaly, just in terms of simply being Fucking Cool... People don't care as much about aliens anymore, and the typical "alien space craft" design has gone away from the classic saucer design to more angular nonsense.

Even if there's memey unhinged schizo technology out there, it would be better served driving conventionally-shaped aircraft because at the end of the day they still have to operate in atmosphere and Unobtanium Drives are cool and all but lift from air passing over wings is literally free once you start moving.
