Question, why can women in muslim-ruled Syria still go outside without a hijab? What about Lebanon or Egypt? Muslims and islamists want to claim hijabs are fundamental to islam but that's simply not the case. Women in general wore headcoverings both in the middle east and most of Europe but not because of mohammad.
That's the same revisionism like claiming that all of the middle east is muslim and Christian though can not be properly portrayed in arabic.

They're mostly focusing on alevites. Christians still get heavily attacked but not 'massacred' in the open.

The west simply doesn't care since Syria is currently basically a vassal state of Turkey and everyone realizes that if the West tried to take back Syria it would just lead to a proxy war that's basically nato vs brics. The problem there is we currently got that in two different conflicts (ukraine vs russia, israel vs iran) and could make it a third if brics embraced palestine.
That these conflicts are still not won (especially the ukraine-russia one that was apparently just a two week endeavor according to both sides) and lead westerners away from their current governments makes them scared to fight for Syria. That's why we barely get any interest in the west regarding Syria's situation, both from our governments and our media. They simply can not afford another war despite having the money and the firing power.
