you may not like it, but this is what peak computing looks like.

>Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2021 (no microshit bloat and malware, has security updates until 2032)
>Windows 7 total conversion project 10to7 (restores proper functionality and reverts godawful changes made after 7)
>Firefox with Geckium to give it the old chrome look and feel (old firefox and internet explorer themes exist too)
>fully compatible with every app, program and game straight out of the gate.
>infinitely more comfy than modern hellscape windows (actually doesnt burn the retinas to look at)

you do not need more. reject (((modernity))), return home to Windows 7.

I want a side machine with windows 7 on, are there succesful ways to trick software with version checking in running anyways? Like for example using a hex editor to lookup for the specific program string and change it.

Yep, there is VxKex. Consider the version from i486 guy. Many programs and frameworks have custom legacy patches as well.

You could do this on a KDE distro and have everything run well

pretty cool. i use the same thing except for the ricing cuz im lazy. but did you set the telemetry group policy to security though? and also what ublock filters do you use
i just enable all the default filters. theres no downside to doing it
but is firefox ESR better than regular firefox?

op here, i did set it to security. as far as ublock i just run it as it comes out the box, it works fine enough as is. i honestly see no differences between ESR and regular firefox, everything works the same. i had a bit of trouble getting the aero theme to work with standard ESR so i'm using a fork called marble, its functionally the same.yr0hh
