Parameters like people seeking employment in x field, and the amount of job openings per year. That ratio matters as you might understand. Another parameter, a job's requirements, they might change every year even.
That's one, let's go for two, contacts, knowing someone that knows someone that can hire you. Sow the seeds so you might one day reap.

I got an automation degree (PLCs, ML, robotics, EE etc.) but since the job market is fucking terrible, I got myself a blue collar job in my local electronic company (basically soldering PCBs for 8 hours straight). They said that if I pass the trial period, I can potentially become a manager, so imho its a huge W 4 me. Before that I worked in fast foods for a short while and then in heavy industry. Here is a tip, don't rush with your resume and if you can't find your dream job immediately, just try something slightly different.
