Cock.li has been through so much shit, after they opened registrations again.
Maybe they should've kept it closed...

Anyways, here are some alternatives.

>Mail.tm
This is my personal favorite temp-mail provider.
They often rotate domains, and their site/api is really nice.
While they are indeed "temporary mails", they actually come with a password, so you can get access to the account long after you created it.
https://mail.tm/en/

>Pissmail.com
This would be the best 1:1 Cock.li alternative.
Not as much a focus on temporary mails, but more the same shitposting stance to mail.
I don't trust them as much as Vincent just yet though.
https://pissmail.com

>Derpymail.org
If you're a brony, this email was suggest when Cock.li was on "red alert".
They have been in business for quite a while, and their community seems healthy, so probably a decent alternative to Cock.li.
https://derpymail.org

And below are just some free email providers, who doesn't serve as a direct alternative to Cock.li, but might interest as well.

https://disroot.org
https://mailfence.com
https://mailum.com

And some temp mail sites.

NTA but the reason I noticed was because my mail client wouldn't authenticate.
I "reset" my password (using my old password) and it worked straight away.

Also very cool that after never having a password reset, one showed up just after the warrant canary stopped.

i use proton, because they have an awesome feature where you can add username+foo@proton.me

so, if you want to sign up for twitter or whatever you could use the address username+x@proton.me

also useful for understanding who's selling your info and causing spam, because it'll be addressed to the +whatever address you used.

This warrant canary isn't updated means he isn't in control of the website. It's very obvious and that's literally what the existence of it is for.

I've chosen to trust him, because he is extremely transparent about his intentions, as well as his actions.
https://vc.gg/blog/dodoij-wtfbbq.html

Do I trust his service enough, to migrate all of my emails there?
No. Obviously not.
But do I trust him to hold my 4chan pass, and other shit I don't want tied to myself personally?
You bet I do.

If you're planning to send out bomb threats, or be part of some deepweb criminal gang, there really is no email service that will ever be suitable for your needs, given the lack of security in the protocol itself.

Of course the feds are going to access your shady disposable @cumallover.me emails
Let me guess, you're sending emails to gmail, outlook, etc., so even if cock.li wasn't compromised the other side is so they're still going to read your emails. Literally all that matters is that the service works.
Why are people so obsessed with? Some things like phone calls and emails will never be private, if you can't see the utility in them still you have a really low IQ

If you read the court documents beyond that 1 excerpt that gets posted out of context, you will realize that the guy giving the testimony was tech illiterate and had no idea what he was talking about, and was actually just remembering using tuta to communicate with a criminal in a sting operation (from a choice of multiple encrypted email services)

He was part of the five eyes intelligence service in Cadana. An intelligence officer from the USA told him that tutanota is a nsa/cia asset and thus if he could get the "bad guys" to start using tutanota, they (usa) would give him information.

>how tf do you make up a phone number?
if you use your phone to make a new gmail account it actually bypasses the phone number. so in theory you can use the same phone to create infinite gmail account, you don't even need to have a sim card for it.

nah, protonmail now blocks you from using it for 3rd party verification purposes unless you pay or link another email to your account (which can't be from a throwaway provider)
just ran into this today, it's getting insane how hard it is just to make a burner email

alternatively, remember this will happen next time.

any early-to-mid 2010 models are fine. thats the time when schools first started using chromebooks. i got a dell 3120 chromebook (cheaper) and a lenovo yoga thinkpad 11e (cost a bit more + touchscreen). both works for the purpose of making emails without a phone number. but if you also want to use the Chromebook itself as a spare laptop, i suggest you get a mid 2010 models with touchscreen like the lenovo yoga thinkpad 11e, which can also run android and linux apps. otherwise, if you just want to create burner emails, you can just get any earlier models.

im a SEAnigger, i got mine from Shopee. there's tonnes of cheap Chromebook for sale listing in the app. all of the Chromebooks here are imported in bulk from western countries, probably via an e-waste recycling scheme.

I'm actually glad they are doing this, since I use them as primary mail provider now.
Back in the day, when it was only Protonmail.com, delivery percentage was horrible.
