In my country, there are almost more management software than companies, and they all do the same thing: query a database of people, occasionally talk with othe management software via SOAP or some other crappy protocol, and then pretty print the results.

They are all the fucking same shit done by different software houses, the language is the only thing that changes.

If you want to stay in this country and work in IT, then working at one of these shit is almost your only option.

And you need a fucking degree to do that, or be lucky if you find some young company desperate for some low pay juniors.

Think about all the development time that was wasted doing over and over and over and over again the same shit by different people, and adding no value whatsoever.
And you are just another cog in the machine, writing again the same fucking queries that everyone has already written. Wasting time doing essentially nothing, in a world were digital data can be copied with no cost whatsoever.

Meanwhile, people die of diseases, wars started by some crazy guy for insane reasons, terrorism, famine, slavery etc.

But there you are, writing some crappy html/css/js whatever code to display the result of a query that gets all people that have more than 16 years and more than three balls per leg.

"Just leave the country lol" yeah, to some unkown destination, risking thousands of money and years on another country's company paying God knows how much on rent and shit, be there alone having to meet again with some new people that you will never meet again because you will leave that workplace too and because they are "sorry, I don't have time right now".

It's all a fucking joke, it's nothing more that a fucking commedy.

Yeah, the ultimate purpose of computers is not doing fancy science algorithms, but handling data. Why compute something if you're not going to print it or store it in a database?

At least you didn't spend years of your life getting a degree in electrical engineering and yet, end up working as a Java programmer because all of the interesting industry jobs have been outsourced to China.
Here in France, that's actually a surprisingly common situation.

Google crawls the web
So they can build a database
So a user can enter a query
So you can potentially go to a website relevant to the query

What makes you think your country is any different? The only real difference is that ALPHABET is going to hedge their money in case their primary business case runs dry, while a smaller company is just going to get bankrupted.
