How did computer science become an entirely corporate dominated discipline? I enroled in a CS course in uni after graduating medicine. It's baffling how the entire ethical framework changed from being told to work for peanuts so the patient is happy to the most hand-rubbing shameless pilfering tactics like hooking up clients with a cheap program and drain them with overpriced maintenance.

I was used to reading scientific articles with statistics and you were encouraged to call stuff bullshit. The project management texts I now read sound like a slimy merchant trying to sell me something with bullshit and nonsensical charts. The entire ideology is waste money so more money keeps on flowing.

What the fuck, it's all a race to outjew the next jew in the roster. Why can't technology be a honest attempt to better people's lives?

What does it matter if I try to make an effort for the patient to not come back by giving him all the information he needs, by digging all his conditions and addressing them, if what the higher up will scold me for taking too much time on one and not get the waiting line running? Priorities in healthcare come like this:
1. Documenting morbidity (deaths and emergencies) to prepare for lawsuit
2. Outcome of a critical patient (becomes a death statistic)
3. Waiting line speed
4. patient complaints
5. Equipment care
6. Actual quality of care
