>>105813761Literally the only thing that Macs are bad for is SOME gaming. Most games work fine with Whisky, or at any rate, no worse than Linux. Many games have native Mac ports, if you play newer Paradox games for example, they're all on MacOS.
Some newer 32 bit games have problems due to emulation difficulty, but Windows 11 ARM has extremely fast 32 bit emulation even on Apple Silicon hardware (i.e. if you run it in a VM on a Mac) so this obviously isn't an unsolvable problem and MacOS may eventually get that kind of emulation too.
They're excellent game dev machines, anyways. You get CLion and Apple Clang, you've got all the Adobe software, you have all the Steinberg software or Reaper if that's more your style, everything you need for game dev is on Mac and you don't have to deal with jeetdows or troonix jank except when testing.
