People keep saying this site is overrun by bots. But if that's so, how do they get past the captcha?

ive sent billions of spams. youve gotten my emails. you've seen my ads. heard of acai berries? yeah. that was me.

there are services that you can deliver captchas to and they will have real humans solve them, and they've been doing this for a decade.

death by captcha.

its not always bots. look up microworkers and mechanical turks. you can pay to control the narative anywhere you can go with a little code, cron jobs, captcha solvers, ai etc.

also, if you thought a captcha secured anything, i can download 100gb of compressed plaintext passwords that have been leaked rn. with it, i can look up your password by your email address.

Paying users to fill out 4chan captchas would be less effective than simply buying a pass unless you are making posts that will get you banned. Now that we're out of the recaptcha era of 4chan the 'ecker type solutions dominate for that, residential proxies + automated solving.

im the spammer, not you. if you're running bots all over this server, you probably wont have a 4chan account. also, the price of captcha solving is cheap, and if you batched them up and fed them into chatgpt's api, it would be even cheaper.

if 4chan mods dont care that bots have accounts, sure. but everywhere else there are captchas, we just pay death by captcha.

I do a bit of spamming. I know game. The 'ecker solver that 4gay currently has is devastatingly effective against the captchas. When you first warm up an IP it gives you shitty ones that the old solvers can't handle but slowly it starts to decrease the difficulty and you get ones that get instasolved by even the old crap. On the 4gay side it's even solving the shitty captchas that are harder to read instantly, meaning as soon as the proxy is warmed up (if it needs the 120 sec wait time) it's ready to spam with. Since it's rotating through residential IPs you can just post whatever even if it's against the rules and even access it through tor. All for the low price of $0.

Each govt, megacorp and ngo are OBSESSED with controlling the narrative, they spend untold billions to do so.

What if this was as easy as just switching apps?

They will then have to spend $4.95 in eth to maintain their grip on the media. This 4.95 increases the value of your holdings, say to $1.06 in ETH

It's still very hard for me to believe the value proposition in this.
As in it's hard to accept that people pay money to make a number go up, knowing that it's fake. I guess that's not much different from prostitution or therapy but God damn you have to be severely mentally broken to pay for likes from an actual bot and somehow derive value from it.

Hashchan has no token, or takes no cuts, it uses blockchain to provide realistic anti spam measures in the age of the ai botnet swarm without giving your eyeball to closedAI, preserving open access public forums which have been destroyed by 'innovative tactics'

Its an absolute revolution in forum technology, one that is reslient to both lawfare dcma take downs and the cloudflare mafia without harvesting your browser fingerprint.

you can gather 20k posts for the same price as a subscription to twitter on lighter chains and have speech = reach and have a cryptographically guaranteed archive of all posts.

no one wants to pay to post but of all the models this one has no profiteering middleman, and, as i've illustrated the only one where the radium watch brigade funds you to be be brainwashed.

every website that you hold deer will continue to degrade, you may be left cynical, but this life raft will still be here waiting for you to board

not really, the incentive structure provides guaranteed persistence, propagation and eventual consistency. You cant acheive this with federation, bittorrent, open topology like gun.js, lip2p, at protocol, zeronet, none of them have all the required characteristics save for blockchains. This is why ethereum classic is the top of the list on haschan as well even PoS has short commings .

None of that changes the matter of fact that ethereum is in fact a cryptocurrency that this does depend on. Saying it does not have one is false and wins no favor, it wins ire.

IT uses crypto like how 4chan uses crypto basically. it doesn't have a token there is no coin. gas is technically not ETH though its denominated in it

its just semantics though, your gripe comes from years of scammers abusing blockchain technology to do everything from money laundering to ponzi scheming. Having a pure project in the space one has to fight alot of these walls of people who sold out crypto for crypto

First of all, it's not, second you're not in a position to tell me what I think.
There's a practical important to this, which is that it requires money to post. You can try to add more layers of abstraction and terminology, and lie about it too, but that does not change it.
I already want the product you're selling, the problem is you're not actually selling that product. You don't have the system you're promoting, you have something else and are being suspiciously deceptive about that aspect.
All I'm doing is pointing this out because it's not going to go well for you if you plan to continue using such tactics to try and convince people. They're going to quickly find out you were lying and its going to tank the reputation.

I can't tell if you're being dishonest on purpose or legitimately don't understand the principle.
It doesn't matter if all the money is used up, it's still money that has to be spent. The pedantry about whether ehtereum is a crypto currency or not isn't even the crux, although I'm obviously of the opinion you're wrong about that too.

Telling people up front that there is no crypto involved is a flat out lie that gives the impression there's not going to be financial costs associated with this when the reality is that there is an inherent and rather important cost to this. Do you not understand how that's going to negatively impact trust with your userbase and potentially damn the project from the outset, if not taint it forever?

not what I said, I said it has no token, it doesn't have a crypto. Many projects create a token to ponzi themselves even when no token is required.

I know and pointed that out, there is no misunderstanding there, the problem is that what you said is false.
You're of the opinion that because pedantically the 2 things which are not-tokens but used as a toke, are not cryptocurrency, despite fundamentally being ethereuim in literally every single way except the name used for the fee when doing a transaction, I mean a not-transaction with a not-token via a not-crypto on a non-blockchain of course.

I still think its semantics and not part of the point, there is spot trading of bitcoin/usd, we dont say bitcoin is usd. You can ask someone to sponsor a transaction for you in usdc if you like, its against the point.

we dont complain about having to pay an X amount of value to commit this post to 4chans servers instead of paying with our data attached to a browser fingerprint your just paying through a different medium

if etheruem was gas we would see near perfect covariance there is decoupling between gas and eth

None of that has any relevance, to reiterate again what this boils down to is you giving off the impression to users that there is no real costs associated with this when there is. It should be very obvious why this is bad for reputation and adoption of the project. And then when it gets pointed out you focus on anything but that aspect despite it being the focal point.

It doesn't matter much what your intention is, you might not be actively trying to deceive people, but I'm telling you that's the impression you're giving off when you tell people a project that fundamentally depends on crypto, does not.
Especially when there are alternatives which don't have a real-world financial cost just to participate.
The labels you put on those costs, do not matter, it's the fact they are costs. If you want to call them clown bits it won't change the fact that you need to somehow acquire and use clown bits, which at current seems to exclusively be through purchase with fiat and other barter.

You insist on playing word games and dismissing the feedback. Even if you somehow managed to trick me specifically that "just gas" and "no crypto" aren't mutually exclusive, it's not going to somehow change interpretations of your messaging broadly nor does it change how the system actually works in practice, which is what real people who really have to interact with this will really care about. They don't care about the hypothetical argument that someone could call Ethereum something else when used for a specific purpose, they care that it is a token that costs money to use, when the messaging says that it "doesn't have a crypto" with "no tokens", but also you need to buy and spend cryptographic tokens to participate. I think it should be obvious why that's not the best thing to use as promotional material.

using crypto and having a crypto is very common parlance that have drastically different meanings.

when a crypto project doesn't have a token, it means they didn't deploy a coin, they are often using the blockchain in a different way. captured succiently by the meme "Why Token" . This is accurate to hashchan and industry standard.

In the same way I'm talking to a wall now, you will be to anyone you're trying to bring on board. Your "industry standard" doesn't apply to anyone outside of your bubble, a bubble you admit is already full of deception and redefinition. This should be obvious even to you considering how much you have to clarify with everyone when this topic comes up. Again by your own admission.
Whatever. You refuse to acknowledge what I'm saying, either intentionally or not. Hopefully someone will take the concept and realize it instead of this facade that's 90% of the way there.

kek, its hard to imagine there are people paid to fill this website with bot posts. I could understand a more influential platform filled with normies who would eat any slop thrown in front of them, or on a website like reddit where accounts with tons of updoots can be sold but there is absolutely no value in a niche volatile anime forum. It's like a bunch of solar panel salesmen trying to sell solar panels on skid row.
