In the near future, researchers will figure out how to set a memory cell on or off remotely, probably using very precise radio waves. When this happens, they'll be able to write arbitrary data to an SSD by targeting the SSD's controller and causing it to write data to the SSD.
This will then be used by governments to write CSAM files directly to the drives of political dissidents' computers. They will then issue a warrant to search their device claiming the dissidents have CSAM, and will then find it on their computer. They will of course find the CSAM they wrote to the device, and the dissident will thus be found guilty of a crime unrelated to their political dissidence and thrown in prison; plus, it will tarnish their reputation.
There will be no way to protect against this.
