It would be a terrible shame if programmers put intentionally horrible code into open source projects to lure the AI copy-pasters into using it.

That's basically my theory. That the reason there is no other intelligent life in the universe is because they all end up discovering this technology which ends up consuming all of their energy and they die. And that natural intelligence although weaker than digital intelligence is the only one that can sustain itself. And basically that senario has played out infinite times throughout the cosmos. In other words it's the inevitable end of all technological civilizations.

Lil bro, the galactic federation has trillion times better technology than this spyware garbo. Technology that can blow up entire solar systems. There's no such thing as a energy bottleneck, only retards that don't know how to handle true power.

If we focused our efforts on making energy efficient and renewable instead of sabotaging the guy making energy easily spread, efficient, and renewable for the name of profit we wouldn't have this problem.

You are ignoring the physical reality of exponentials, a mathematician would understand and you sir are no mathematician.
>>105823367
I don't think it will help. I am not speaking about short term, technologies like dyson spheres and so on will come to pass but no amount of energy, even that of a star itself will be efficient enough to mimic what the universe evolves in to naturally.

bro... mathematicians don't concern themselves with physicalities.

>That's basically my theory. That the reason there is no other intelligent life in the universe is because they all end up discovering this technology which ends up consuming all of their energy and they die.
Society can easily power all the LLMs and send all the profits to Bezos and Musk, it's fine.
We just need to build more nuclear power plants, and they should be the fission plants from the late '60s. We're going to fuck up with the waste and give everybody megacancer but that's a problem for after the profits are made.
Anything else and you're looking at a worst outcome which is brownouts and rolling blackouts so that some techbro can run a prompt and your refrigerator can just go fuck itself because there's money to be made laying your ass off.

More like llm wrappers are all doomed because llm providers will crush them if the use case is actually popular
Cursor is dying because anthropic wills it

you're the idea guy, and your partner is a machine who can sort of copy and paste stuff from google based on what you tell him,
Together you slap together terrible prototypes that will have to be completely rewritten if you ever get anywhere

so less people looking for mini solutions like for an algo and more just like them just writing an entire prompt for them to write their program? Thats positively insane.

Cursor is just a middleman, and a shitty one at that. You can and should just use Claude Code and Google Gemini Code Assist or Gemini CLI. They might be more expensive but you actually do get extensive usage out of them.

Why can't they just build a dyson sphere or something?
