As for me, when the distribution calls itself GAMING is a fuckin' cringe.
I would prefer Alma Linux or OpenSUSE that itself is called differently, despite the fact that I will play them games, because they position themselves as distributions for work, and therefore should be stable and effective.

Immutable for one thing. I want TOTAL CONTROL. But more importantly, there's just no point to gaming distros. The Linux kernel already has drivers for all of your controllers (including bloody Wiimotes), you can install Steam on any distro, and you're not going to get better framerates with Bazzite either. If you are capable of clicking "Next" on the Bazzite installer, you are capable of installing Steam via pamac, Discover, or double clicking a .deb installer. Linux is extremely accessible and functional nowadays, so "beginner" distros aren't really a thing anymore because they're all just good operating systems.

Nothing yet but eventually fedora. I understand the need for a more upstream distro for a game focus derivate but fedora exist specifically as testing ground for rhel so eventually you'll get to a point that some feature you need will be deprecated or switched to something that break your derivate distro configuration.

nothing? it's literally the best distro out there. what WILL go wrong is the deprecation of 32bit support which will kill all games unless Linux implements something like WOW64.

A few reasons it sucks:

1.) immutable distros are trash
2.) Nobara is better
3.) CachyOS is better
4.) Arch is better
5.) Default Ubuntu/Debian is better

You get my point...

That's Nvidia's fault. Their gay nigger drivers don't support the APIs needed for Bazzite to work right. Bazzite's sister distros Bluefin, Aurora, and uCore work fine with Nvidia.

Immutable distros are the future. This is the closest thing to a "just works" distro I have ever used. All the codecs, drivers and tools I need, and some I didn't know I needed are on here, and I have the peace of mind that if the distro ever breaks I can just roll back to a previous version.

Immutable distros and dev containers are a fantastic combination. There's literally one tool I need Distrobox for at work (Citrix Workspace) and everything else works in containers or flatpaks or as static binaries.

Nothing, it's one of the most actively developed and well supported distros there is. Most criticism of it is contrarianism.

Bazzite is a blue mineral. All of the immutable spins since Fedora Silverblue were named after blue minerals, starting with Kinoite for KDE. It's actually the most normally named of the Universal Blue distros, the others are Bluefin (dinosaur themed GNOME) and Aurora (KDE).
