because that would be based. are they known for having good backs? everyone is complaining about their damn back except me.
i can sit almost forever comfortably in a good armchair.
the various stupid supports with adjustments in office charis will never be just right for your back, and especially never for long periods of time. midwit retardation. armchairs are comfortable because they are static and you control how you sit, and with pillows you can sit upright given you put a little work yourself of holding your own damn back upright
a good armchair and an adjustable desk for occasional standing is the ultimate solution

You almost made me snap a pic and send, because that is exactly what I did. But that only helped with the "my ass is hurting" part.

In order to save the discs in your spine, you need a chair that has an actual lumbar support. And one that either encourages you to sit properly, or is flexible enough to conform to your back when you move around.
Real ergonomic chairs will do this for you.

About 5 years ago, I got a blue gamer chair for $150 at staples. It still holds up, but the faux-leather material has been flaking like crazy. I specifically shopped for foldable arms so I can play guitar in it. Solid chair, plus a separate blue lumbar cushion makes it very comfortable.
I'm in between jobs so I can't really replace it yet. I'll probably get another like it at slightly higher quality and not gamer-looking.

Problem is that I was "fidgeting", or rather moving around in the chair.
Leaning on left side, leaning of right side. One-leg tugged. Criss-crossed.
But since the chair was a solid piece of plywood, with some pleather-padding, there was no give and no support.
Now, in my Leap, I can feel the back-piece moving around with me, whilst keeping the support on my lower back.

>i also exercise which probably helps
Well, I'm speaking as a NEET manchild, still living in moms basement, getting fed thrice a day.
My BMI is 28 and the only exercise I get, is when I ride my e-bike to town to buy burger and hotdogs.

Expensive office chair enjoyers are the equivalent of audiophiles.
The way of the way is variation, if you remain seated in the same chair long enough it completely negates any momentary benefit it's design may have.

I rotate between a cheap office chair for when i do a lot of typing, a ergogay chair(where you fold your knees under your primary seat unto a second lower seat), a yoga ball(rated 150kg for you fatasses), and mein comfy leather chair.

It takes up extra space, so i arranged my room so i can quickly stow and rotate them when i feel the need. Don't forget standing up and walking around when you can. Remaining sedentary is just bad.

I gave you the truth, i gave you the word.
