Nuttin cause I don't need nuttin. I don't understand this philosophy. My boss was telling me how he got a coffee maker with points on his credit card. I asked if he uses it, he has not opened it. I'd be grateful if the sale was happening when I needed something, but finding an excuse to spend money seems odd to me. I'll recap it for you:
-very loud, way louder than a proper air conditioner (the compressor is indoors duh)
-very inefficient (the machine is throwing 500+ watts of heat in the same room it's trying to cool, plus you won't ever get a proper seal and the hot air from outside will attempt to go back inside even through the smallest gaps because of convection, which brings us to the next point
-more expensive in the long run.
if you only need it for a few days every year, and you cannot install a proper air conditioner for whatever reason then it might make sense but if you can install a regular air conditioner, there's rarely a reason to bother with these things.
