You'd think a basic tool like a calculator would've been figured out in the 90's, but nope. I've not found a single Linux calculator that allows you to repeat the last operation by hitting Enter. And the GNOME Calculator is just MASSIVE with no option to resize the window. Yeah yeah, I get that ebassi has a 4K monitor and doesn't think there's a use case for scaling, but I'm not playing games or doing HD shit on my 768p laptop; I just need to write documents and do some basic maths. There's no reason a calculator should use up 42% of my screen lol.

Doesn't even show you the entire equation. It ONLY shows you the current operation. For instance, 4*22 will ONLY show you "22" on-screen until you hit enter.
>MATE Calc
Doesn't repeat the last operation when you hit Enter, in addition to being really big with no option to resize it.

I don't know why they can't figure out how to make a good fucking calculator. Hopefully the Windows calculator runs through Wine.

Notice that GNOME by default has no resize/minimize buttons. You're meant to run each "app" on a separate workspace as if it was a phone or a tablet. You're not supposed to run several "apps" on each workspace.

overall the best setup is python3 + gnuplot

non-shitty proprietary options:

Pressing super+enter to open a terminal, typing `python`, then entering an expression (like `1337*6969` or whatever) and pressing enter is the most convenient way to quickly get an answer to any math question during normal PC usage, and if you need it you even have access to more advanced operations. Like any REPL you can press the up arrow and down arrow to cycle through history as well.
The only exception to this I can think of is if you're a mobilefag or you aren't comfortable typing on a keyboard
