>We are looking for cracked engineers that bring in the following expertise: Distributed systems: You need to showcase a strong grip in this niche, ideally both in academia and an industry setting. Knowing concepts, having built projects beyond standard APIs in a backend setting is valuable. Show us how you obsessed over milliseconds and/or fault-tolerance to solve a distributed problem. Software Engineering Fundamentals: Data Structures, Algorithms, clean code, yadda yadda… you know the drill. Throw strong SWE projects that just cannot be vibe-coded. Infra / ML Systems: You need to show a strong understanding of what goes behind serving, training and creating AI models at scale. Experience in building something with just OpenAI/Anthropic APIs does not count. We are looking for people who may not know how to train the state of the art, but how to optimise for “serving” the state of the art. Familiarity with KVCaching, vLLM (and what goes behind it), Ray, etc. Oh, and we value strong research experiences (like extremely). Systems and Networking: A lot of the innovations going on in the AI Infra space right now are stemming from low-level tricks well known in the world of Operating Systems and Networking (think Paged Attention). You need to showcase a strong ability to wrap your head around these concepts to create highly concurrent systems networked together.
