Base model Macs have fuckall memory space, and Apple charges a fuckload to upgrade it, so it's literally cheaper to just buy external drives and connect them to the Mac. Hence OP's picture.

Curious to know what all those USB cables run to. They actually connected to anything, or are they running off frame because they're going nowhere?

And if the multiport adapter is like every other one I've ever seen, they could've plugged the power into that instead of directly into the computer.
