stop worshipping jews, the filepicker looks alright though
has linux incorporated the feature that when u paste the url of a pic (url as in internet hosted) it will somehow allow you to pick the file as if it were in your filesystem (it somehow is through temporary internet files in ur system)?

How is unusable? I've been using KDE on my laptop for 2 years in uni. It's the only usable DE on laptops since most of them come with HiDPI panels and KDE is only DE that does fractional scaling right.

can it drag from the filepicker to the upload field?
can you drag files from your desktop into the folder your file picker is currently in?
can I add and remove columns in the file picker?
can i search by a specific date created?
can i search by a specific date modified?
can i search by a specific filesize?
can i search by which user created the file?
can i search by which user last modified the file?
can i use booleans?

If it can't do all of this, Windows Explorer is still superior:

thumbnails are nice but they break whenever it opens a big folder. old ass bug still not fixed with the latest plasma. they might appear/disappear when scrolling or hovering the mouse over them.

pressing the thumbnails button either fixes them or breaks them even harder

They actually fixed that on the latest release.

The GNOME filepicker now generates thumbnails and has all of the features present on the real filepicker (rename files, copy/paste, search, etc.)

Someone at Red Hat must have forced ebussi to fix their shit file picker after 25 years.
