Mutually exclusive execution (no more flock garbage)
Logged like every other service
Has a command line tool that tells you what timers are active and when they will next run

No it wasn't. With openrc I can just copy rootfs to other partition and change 1 entry in fstab and it will work. When I did it with systemd it didn't work.

Yes they can, in the year 2025 you can't even fork text editor (vscode) since it requires small team of paid devs working on it. Same goes for systemd, if you are not willing to dedicate your life to it then you can't do shit.
