they are good at making virus so they are good at antivirus aswell
honestly kaspersky is the best antivirus. if you have a low trust corporate enviroment i would recommend it. but its not worth the money for personal use, windows defender is enough if you arent retarded

the free version is on the same level as windows defender. not worth it for the popups
the standalone scanner is pretty good for tech support though. too bad it was deprecated

what popups?
i haven't seen any.
also Defender pales in comparison to even the free version, reminder that it uses the exact same databases as the paid version, as you can switch to the premium version without reinstalling, it's just a license key to unlock features.

I really like how they improved the management controller site for the enterprise version. Before it sucked balls whenever you had to work on your devices. It's also kinda cheap. Me like.

Literal fsb spyware
>After the company’s founder’s son, Yevgeny Kaspersky, was kidnapped and freed by Russian intelligence seven years ago, “managers with ties to the FSB took control,” the article says. “According to the informant, he was present when employees demonstrated the company’s ability to access customer data by connecting to the computers of the British company Gamma Group,” the newspaper reports.

What do people use for Linux?
>Linux doesn't have viruses.
Nowhere near as many as Windows but they do exist and more importantly, webshit exists and impacts everyone. There's also increasingly supply chain attacks on repositories. Maybe those technically aren't viruses but they are malware.

The post-Soviet countries had good education in math and physics (before 1991), so in general, the IT sector in Russia is not bad.

8 years ago i installed malware byte on my school pc. it found 146 malwares then tried to "fix" the pc somehow after a restart the computer is permanently stuck at the black screen with nothing but the mouse. luckily there was a couple of vacant computers so i silently switch to another one and never look back
