Why is Ralf Jung using lies when evangelizing Rust? He's way more intelligent than the likes of Steve Klabnik. Too invested in Rust?

I don't know who Ralf Jung is or does but I understand Rust is the best mainstream programming language today. It won.

because some of the people he knows are rust maintainers, part of the same eth zurich university in switzerland.

It's good that most new tools are being written in Rust. C++ has already become a legacy lang.

everything i use that has been rewritten in rust is just a straight upgrade ive even start replacing basic utils like cat ls cd. why the hell was everyone just ok with everything being mediocre for so long i dont get it? helix is a great editor faster than nvim, uv is literally redefining python package management as we speak, same as they did for linting

Telling bunch of webdevs to learn a whole new difficult language and rewrite all existing algorithms to a non-GC environment is just asking for a disaster.

he found in Rust a playground to use his gigabrain on
honestly all his efforts seem kinda silly when you consider the future made up 99% of vibecoders and jeets
