I keep switching back and forth between the two. Firefox and Brave both have features I really like but some features are exclusive to one and other features exclusive to the other. For example, I like Brave's PWA ability (run web apps in a dedicated desktop window with a dedicated icon on the taskbar) and Firefox's bookmark tabs. I also like that you can also use fully local LLMs in Brave.

For example, I like Brave's PWA ability (run web apps in a dedicated desktop window with a dedicated icon on the taskbar) and Firefox's bookmark tagging system. I also really like Brave's media control center that lets you control media playing in the background without having to go back to the tab every time you want to pause or rewind what's playing.

Why doesn't Brave release a "Gecko edition" of their browser? It could get market share from Firefox users who don't want to use Chromium.

Is Brave a legitimate option? For some reason I dismissed it when it was new, because I had felt it was too monetized to be a legitimate option.

Containers are a must for me, so Firefox it is. I have a profile for work stuff, with different containers for different websites (Gulag, Outlook, FB, etc). I use Betterfox for that one for a slightly less retarded Firefox. For personal use I have a separate profile with the usual Arkenfox js and other settings/tweaks.

It's basically just chrome with adblock integrated. The 'Aggressive' mode seems to work better than uBO in my experience. Other than that it's just as bloated and spyware as vanilla chrome and more.
I keep using it on my side laptop and phone just to stay up to date. My daily combo is still Firefox with uBO and Edge for when FF shit the bed.
I'll probably go full time Brave is FF breaks adblock at some time in the future.
Also it's my favorite browser in Android/iOS. It's the best youtube watching browsing.

Firefox literally sells your data and you're complaining about Brave being spyware simply because it's based on Chromium. You have to go back to PCMR, shill

I want to switch to Brave, but i have to keep solving the captcha each time i want to post here...
I disabled every shield/adblock and allowed cookies and the problem persists...
Anonymous No.105865153 [Report]
>>105864232
You can disable it, you know, just like how brave shills you can disable the crypto shit and AI "features"?

that has nothing to do with brave that's just how this site has worked for the past 2+ years or so
same exact thing would happen on your old browser if you cleared your cache
you gotta get enough good boy points to be able to get easier captchas (either no more sliders or even no verification needed at all) usually takes like 48-72 hours to a week of posting

btw you can just copy over your cookies from the old browser to the new one if you really don't want to wait

>>105865347
Yeah, i was thinking about it.
Just copied my old cookies to brave and is letting me bypass the captcha now.
Thanks :)
