Forever alpha
>GNOME
Supreme bliss. The alpha and the omega of UX design. The best.
>KDE
It has improved quite a bit since KDE 6. I think it is time for give it a fair shot again. Maybe it can even replace GN--
*krashes*
....
Nevermind. I will stick with GNOME.

i use unity... but if I had to choose between the three, I would choose KDE, because it is well customizable, there is more software on Qt than on GTK, and GTK on KDE looks normal when Qt on GNOME looks terrible.

I don't need DE. I kinda liked Unity forever ago when firefox and other programs had integration for it, but now it's gimped and it's Ubuntu only and Ubuntu nowadays is shittier.

usecase?

>GNOME
Every application is themed for Gnome.
Looks good
unusable on Desktop. Need 10 extensions to get it any a usable state. They break on updates.
If relevant: Terrible gaming performance

>KDE
The best of the worst.
Fast, configurable, ugly.

If anyone wants to break the universe we need to combine KDE with GNOME -> KNOMED

KDE just because that's the only real Qt desktop project available, Lxqt is too bare-bones and janky, everything else uses Gtk.
I don't trust Gtk or Gnome because it's RedHat, and I don't trust RedHat because it's a cloud company making a desktop, it won't be long 'til most of Linux is basically just Open-Source Windows
