From personal Experience I can say that hardware on Apple macs is clearly superior, but their software is absolute dogshit compared to MS windows.

I think Windows has the best base to actually become a good operating system. Linux has too much Unix baggage in how it handles file types, user permissions,etc. which is what macOS actually does the best, every app downloaded from the store is sandboxes by default, leading to a very secure OS.

If Windows got rid of the telemetry, bloat, offered a good package manager, I would pay a few hundred for a license and not even try to pirate it.
