If you're asking it for sources on unicorns on Mars, no shit its going to have to make something up.

Its meant to cut down on how many searches you'd need to do to get the same relevant sources, I can ask an LLM about a complex real world topic and get dozens of sources I can then peruse further. That saves a lot of time compared to manually finding those sources through various Google searches.
