I had to temporarily switch to Google's stock pixel rom after using GrapheneOS for 3 years due to a feature that sadly isn't available w/ GOS. Are there any ways to further "secure" the stock rom from law enforcement (ex cellebrite)? Already aware of Google's advanced protection program and that certainly is one step forward but sadly it only incorporates 1 or 2 features that you get for granted on GrapheneOS.
https://grapheneos.org/features

I've already implemented some changes such as some of the adb configuration tweaks mentioned under gearjail.neocities.org but it doesn't seem like there's too many resources on what hidden configuration option does what on android, sure I can go through the source and look at every configuration option but that's extraordinarily tedious.

Not to mention it seems like nothing is well commented/documented in the source for android's hidden configuration options
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base/+/refs/heads/main/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java

tl;dr: want to have a very slightly more secure than stock pixel rom phone but can't utilize grapheneos for the moment

I don't know personally and that's why I am trying to escape to graphene. I am actually curious about your experience on gos. How functional is it? Can I still install some play store apps? Will banking apps work on it? Can I have multiple sandboxed instances of the same app, so I can have multiple accounts on it? And what feature was missing that you thought so important you had to switch back to stock android?

I don't spend my life reading every thread on /g/. And that still would not answer my last question. I want to know specifically what feature OP thought was worth going back to stock android for.

As long as you have Play Services installed, the glowies can break in

Forget it. It is the way it is by design.

I repeat: It is like that BY DESIGN. Accept defeat, do something else with your time. In stock android it is wasted.

I'm not if using Graphene is a good idea. Graphene users stick out and therefore they have a much higher risk of becoming infected with pegasus.

For me, I already gave up. Installed termux and xfce. Android is just a glorified bootloader.

Are there any Graphine-like OSs which run on better phones? Pixels suck

Do you really need Google Pay? Just use a contactless card.

If you install Google Play Services (it can be done whenever you want, you're not forced to choose at installation time like with other distros, and it can also be easily uninstalled) all the features of stock OS will work except Google Pay/Google Wallet.
Banking apps do work, some of them have notifications not working, almost all of them depends on Google Play Services.
You can have multiple instances of an app by using a second user on the phone or by using the private space feature.

Only run Sanboxed Google Play Services in its own phone profile with other apps that need it. (Which is just android auto and YouTube for me)

Man, their support list isn't much better :/
I just want a phone that doesn't weigh a million pounds and supports bands 12 and 13
