bad enough that if you start to tell your colleagues about it you'll sound like you're losing your damn mind, you're better off talking about the jews

Thank you. It's a good starting point and lead me into the start of a deep dive. I remember there being good evidence for hardware level spying on home computers, but I can't seem to find anything on it. Anyone remember any articles or stored archives?

Ah shit my post is gone.

Anyways I'll do a brief summary of what I found instead.

Der spiegel reported 10 years ago about NSA backdoors (Ant catalog).

Snowden reported among other things the interception of routers from supply chain to install hardware NSA backdoors.

Bloomberg reported the chinese adding microchips as backdoors into computers for business espionage.

Barium apt group was another chinese state funded supply chain level backdoors to get access specifically to game companies.

Russia too seems to target supply chain of computers to install their backdoors, or so reports CISA anyways.

It would require them to approve a full blown audit of all code involved in the product by a neutral investigator (that you'd have to fund), and then you have to assume they don't hide information on the backdoors and lie publicly (they do)

I mean I ended up finding a number of credible reports as I lined up in my post above yours. I gave courts as a thought experiment, but it was more about being able to support it to inquisitive friends than actual legal scenario.

Wow itโ€™s almost like it was a bad idea to outsource producing the bedrock of civilization to a foreign country who is a frenemy at the best of times.
