I was once offered a job in a job interview, but I started arguing with him to prove that I was worthy of the job.

John should have pulled out a gun and shot them before leaving the room. Or maybe leave the room, count to 10, and then go back in and shoot them. The second option would probably be more stylish.

>making litigious statements as an interviewer and explaining why an applicant won't get hired
this story is insanely fake. no interviewer would do as he had did, and definitely not in front of a coworker.

In general people are trained to simply not make any statements as to why candidates are rejected, regardless of if they're illegal or not. The blanket rule keeps the interviewers from needing to have a deep understanding all current case law on discrimination disputes.
The only reason I see anymore is "your salary requirements are too high". Anything else gets a generic "we're moving forward with different candidates" justification.

I believe this story because it happened to me, basically the exact same fucking scenario, nothing happened to us even though I live in a cesspool where employees can casually lie about their employer being tyrannical without proofs and win every time (I hate commies it's unreal)

I have interviewed a few people in my time. The solution for that kind of situation is to stare the person right in the eyes, smirk and then shit yourself. This asserts dominance, establishes boundaries and ensures the interviewee will never fuck with you again.

This is true for lower/entry level jobs, but as you move up to higher positions people tend to be more honest about why they aren't hiring someone.

Thousands of them are made per day for the sole purpose of collecting imaginary internet points. It is truly a stunning realization that OP unfortunately hasn't taken in yet.
