Is Windows 11 really as bad as people say it is?

No
I had to upgrade to it because they never backported the TCP updates they did for Server and 11:

This meant I couldn't get my advertised ISP speed on WIndows 10 even if it was fully up to date or a fresh install.
Since then, it's been fine, I've tweaked it to fit my use case and disabled all the AI shit. It's not as bad as people make it, I would just call it "meh".

It's a downgrade from W10 in some regards but it can be configured to be usable.

I really wish Microsoft backported the CPU scheduler from 11 to 10 so I can use the cuck cores properly

It is shit, for sure, but so is every GNU+Linux distro, Macintosh, Haiku, *BSD, etc etc. None of them are perfect. Windows 11 takes quite a bit of work compared to the others in order to make it more personal reliably, though. I have been using Windows & GNU+Linux for more than 30 years. Windows 11 is at best annoying in certain regards, that is it.

I think there's gradients to it, you can either run default if you hate yourself, you can run just O&O ShutUp10+ and be relatively annoyance free, or you can spend 90 minutes tinkering with GPOs like me

if you don't notice how slow the ui is already you're not likely to have any clue in general

It was a downgrade at launch but at this point it's solid. i would not go back to W10 at this point.
