>Use Xorg without modesetting
>No bloated KMS drivers loaded
>Run minimal Xorg desktop
>Use less than 100MB of RAM when running just terminal windows
Problem?

The problem with Wayland is the fucking retards made literally only a window that renders other windows

They didn't standardize ANYTHING else

Not workspaces

Not taskbars

Not DPMS support to turn the screen off when idle

They needed to standardize the most basic fundamental shit of a desktop because it's now 15 years later and this is still a major problem.

They don't want to standardize any of it because they just assume everyone will use GNOME.

you are retarded
go away

Wayland forces on you stupid DEs and WMs.
I will keep using traditional WM and not cuck myself into walled garden of retarded protocols that policies what can I do on my computer. I will just keep using simple scripts.

Systemd is overengineered shit. I only need to launch a couple services. I don't even care how fast they start up. I don't need async startup. How often do you boot your computer? I only boot once and keep it powered up for hours. Who the fuck cares. Old computers used to boot 1min and it didn't bother anyone. I like /etc/rc.d style files. It's stupid simple fucking code. No retardation, just code. No retarded tooling, just chmod the script. Network is just inetd. Wireless is just a script with wpa_supplicant and dhclient. System logs are just sysklogd plaintext rotating logs. What else is there? Openssh server. What else do you fucking need? I just keep my system stupid simple. I still use mailcap for file association, because it's simple and fucking works. System is reliable. There is no hidden shit anywhere. Fuck off tourist.

I got frustrated with mainstream distros and wrote my own in college. The init program was a short shell script that basically ran mount, agetty a couple times, wpa_supplicant, and sshd. I don't think I even ran udev and just kept devtmpfs mounted. After logging in I'd manually start kdrive which would start my DE (FVWM) and my mailbox and file sync scripts.

X11 didn't either but the protocol was general enough people naturally agreed on de facto standards. Wayland doesn't give you room to do this.
