I just tried wayland again (niri this time) and it's still shit.

frame drops out the ass when playing video with mpv (720p AVC 60fps). visually not smooth playback you can tell it's not 60fps while in xorg it plays fine.

meanwhile also in xorg (i3) mpv can play FHD HEVC 24fps with no frame droping on this potato.
